Just wondering if anyone here has participated in any of Stephen Hayes' ninpo seminars? I came across some interesting looking seminars on his website.
I've read quite a few of his earlier books but they were largely autobiographical or dealt with traditional ninjutsu techniques.
Quest Centre listing is here:

In particular, the "Riding the Dragon" seminar on Sept. 10 & 11 looks great. Anyone here with any personal experience??

Re: Stpehn Hayes' Quest Centre
Sat, June 11, 2005 - 3:12 PMI studied Ninpo Taijutsu under a personal student of An Shu Hayes (back when he was shidoshi) in the early 90's, and had occasion to attend his annual 'Shadows of Iga Festival' seminars.
I found him to be knowledgeable, informative, and very approachable. His wife was just as open with her time as he was, and their seminars are well worth the time and money.

Sun, June 26, 2005 - 7:38 AMThe Riding the Dragon Seminar is his annual festival focusing on his martial art To-Shin Do and meditation. I Recently went to a smaller seminar called Mountain Quest. It was awesome! This years theme is "riding the dragon". I work at the Boulder Quest Center in Colorado, you should check a Quest Center out if there is one close by to you, there are listings of all of them on www.skhquest.com .

Re: Stpehn Hayes' Quest Centre
Wed, January 18, 2006 - 10:45 PMThis is a sensitive issue, one which I am compelled to first answer "it's not my business to comment". What I know is that Steve showed up to Japan this year with his minions for a single training. Soke ignored him during training, but he did get into the car to go to Soke's house "for tea" I suppose.
Steve's "thing" (from what I have heard from those who live and train in Japan) is that he shows up with his students to do the token "training with the Grandmaster" then has tea at Soke's house, then takes them off to see the sites.
Is he still on good terms with Soke? The official answer is "yes". The rest is my unenlightened opinion.
